what we do

A wider participation of investors is essential to increase the depth of the capital market by converting savers to investors. Hence, the SEC is committed to providing financial education among students, undergraduates, investors, teachers and the public throughout the country. We use multiple channels including seminars, workshops, digital means and publications to impart the benefits and risks inherent in capital market products. Our programmes are delivered in Sinhala, Tamil and English.
